about

About three weeks before my son Marc Ian died, I played him the song Falling Down. This song is about the times in my life when I think God has abandoned me. Spiraling downward, I drown in sorrow. I meant this song to be a death dance, when I face my darkest hour, desperately seeking the Creator of the Universe. My prayers echo through empty streets bouncing back unanswered. Marc found the song to be too depressing. As it turned out it was prophetic. I had no idea how soon Marc would take that dance and just a few weeks later, he was gone.
